Sometimes I wonder whether marketers have thought about their customer journey carefully in their activities or do they actually aim for an one-off action. Such as, enticing the customer to carry out a certain action, and then reward the customer, and that’s it.

We have always recognised the fact that Singaporeans love texting on their mobile phones. This is one of the reasons why Singaporeans are quite receptive to receiving text messages, which is good news for advertisers. However, we also know that it’s dangerous to read or text while driving.

We are a few days late in publishing this congratulation, but better late than never. Mobile advertising company, BuzzCity, turns 10 this year and is doing better than ever. With the setting up of new offices in Africa and Europe on top of an existing strong position in Asia, they are proving that the growth in mobile marketing is a global phenomenon that is breaking national barriers. They have also shown that a Singapore-based company can spearhead this development and enjoy success with a service that targets a global audience. So to Dr Lai, Hisham, Malcolm, Delynn, Jasslyn, Jessica and the rest of the Buzz Team, congratulations on your success and all the best for the next decade!

Our CEO, Cato Gullichsen, were featured in the Business Times earlier regarding his experience and knowledge of successfully starting a company in Singapore. Even though the Singapore government is expressing support for entrepreneurs, obtaining funds and capital from the government might still require quite a bit of effort. Cato has shared some insight and advice with start ups on how they might be able to position their ideas and company to professional investors.
